Your initial intake is a comprehensive two-day process designed to gather all necessary information about your current condition and your goals:
Day 1 (45 minutes) includes:
Comprehensive Consultation
After filling out intake paperwork prior to your appointment, we begin with a detailed consultation to review your medical history, discuss the symptoms you are experiencing, and discuss your goals of care.
Movement Screening and Orthopedic Assessment
Following the consultation, we will conduct a thorough, comprehensive movement screen and orthopedic assessment. This process is crucial as it helps us identify the root causes of your discomfort and any potential areas of concern. Through these assessments, we gain vital insights into your body's mechanics, which guide us in creating a highly effective, personalized treatment plan.
Introductory Treatment
To conclude your first visit, you will receive an introductory treatment designed to start the healing process immediately. This session may include spinal adjustments or soft tissue therapy, depending on time & recommendations for your current condition.
Day 2 (45 minutes) includes:
Review of Findings
We will review the findings from your initial assessment and discuss a recommended treatment plan crafted specifically for you. This plan includes a combination of tailored interventions designed to not only treat your current condition but also to prevent future issues. Our approach is far from one-size-fits-all; we pride ourselves on creating personalized plans that won't require thousands of dollars upfront.
Discussion of Treatment Plan
Our goal is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of your treatment plan and are equipped with the tools and knowledge to manage your health effectively. We allow for extra time in this visit to answer any questions you may have and make sure you feel confident in your path forward.
Full Treatment
This session includes a full treatment, which may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling- depending on recommendations for your current condition. We will also demonstrate at-home exercises that you can perform to enhance your recovery and support the effectiveness of the in-clinic treatments.
To make your visit as efficient as possible, please ensure all necessary paperwork is completed prior to your arrival.
Please wear loose, flexible clothing and bring a pair of shorts to facilitate the examination and treatment.
Please bring any relevant images (X-rays, MRIs, Ultrasound, CT scans) of your current condition, including the radiology report, to your appointment.
We also recommend drinking plenty of water before your visit, as hydration can help enhance the treatment process and improve your overall comfort and outcomes.
At Modern Motion, we operate on a cash-based payment system. This means that we do not submit claims directly to insurance companies. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality, personalized care without the constraints often imposed by insurance providers.
Benefits of a Cash-Based Practice
Choosing a cash-based practice model allows us to focus solely on your health and wellness without the limitations and bureaucracy associated with insurance plans. Here are a few benefits of this model:
Personalized Care: Without insurance limitations, we can offer tailored treatment plans that truly meet your specific needs rather than being confined by what insurance will approve.
Transparency in Pricing: You will always know the cost of your treatment upfront, with no hidden fees or unexpected bills. Our pricing is fair and competitive, often comparable to or better than current insurance fees and co-pays.
Extended One-on-One Time: Our model allows for longer appointment times, ensuring that you receive comprehensive, one-on-one care with the doctor throughout your visit. This means no rushing or splitting attention among multiple patients at the same time. Eliminating the need to navigate insurance claims speeds up the process, also allowing us to focus more on your treatment and less on paperwork.
Flexibility: We can offer more innovative and varied treatments that might not be covered by traditional insurance plans.
We believe this model promotes a more direct, honest, and effective relationship between you and your healthcare provider. Our priority is your health and comfort, and our cash-based system helps us uphold these values by simplifying the financial aspects of your care.
Other Payment Options
While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide you with a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed form describing the services provided, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your coverage. Additionally, our services are eligible for payment through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Cash, credit, or checks are accepted payments at time of service.
Medicare
At this time, we are unable to see Medicare patients. This policy is due to the specific regulatory requirements that govern services billable through Medicare, which do not align with our practice model. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are happy to provide recommendations to Medicare-enrolled practitioners if needed.
Chiropractic care is an essential component of any athlete’s training regimen, especially for runners. Here’s how these services can enhance athletic performance:
Injury Prevention: Regular chiropractic adjustments can help maintain proper alignment and balance in the body, reducing the risk of injuries. Proper spinal alignment ensures that the body can handle the stresses of running and other high-impact activities more effectively.
Enhanced Performance: By optimizing joint mobility and improving spinal alignment, chiropractic care can enhance an athlete’s range of motion, flexibility, and overall physical performance. This can lead to better form, faster times, and greater endurance.
Pain Reduction: Chiropractic treatments help alleviate pain from injuries and reduce muscle stiffness, allowing for quicker recovery times and more comfortable training sessions.
Improved Posture and Coordination: Adjustments improve posture and coordination, which are crucial for achieving optimal athletic performance and preventing overuse injuries.
Increased Body Awareness: Regular treatments can enhance proprioception (body awareness), helping athletes fine-tune their training and avoid movements that may lead to injury.
Whether you're a weekend warrior or a seasoned marathoner, chiropractic care is a proven strategy to help you stay at the top of your game, recover faster from workouts, and maintain peak physical health.

No, chiropractors are primary care professionals, so you do not need a referral.
Although a referral is not necessary, we are happy to co-manage your care with other healthcare providers.
The number of treatments required can vary significantly depending on your specific condition, the severity of your symptoms, and your body's response to treatment. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, as every patient's situation is unique.
Personalized Treatment Plans: We will discuss your personalized treatment plan at your Review of Findings visit. Our treatment plans are not generic; each plan is custom designed to address your particular health issues. This individualized approach ensures that no patient receives the same plan, and that care is optimized for your personal goals.
Understanding the Treatment Process: It is important to understand that while immediate relief is possible, it is unlikely that one treatment will resolve all issues. Chronic conditions, long-standing misalignments, or deeply rooted muscular problems often require a series of treatments to fully address. This is because each session builds upon the last, allowing for gradual improvements in joint mobility, muscle function, and nerve activity, which contribute to long-term health.
Our Commitment to Efficient Care: Our primary goal is to help you improve as quickly as possible while ensuring that the results are lasting. We focus on not just alleviating symptoms, but also preventing recurrence.
We will regularly reassess your progress and adjust the treatment plan as necessary, this is why we will never require large payments upfront.
