Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a time-tested healing technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance. By gently inserting ultra-fine needles into specific points, acupuncture restores energy flow (“Qi”), calms the nervous system, reduces inflammation, and supports the body’s internal systems.

At Modern Motion, we blend ancient wisdom with modern technology. Every new patient visit begins with an AcuGraph® digital meridian analysis—a non-invasive scan that measures energetic imbalances in real time—so we can create a personalized treatment plan based on both traditional principles and objective data.

Acupuncture FAQs

  • AcuGraph® is a digital meridian analysis tool that blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern technology. In just a few minutes, this painless scan measures electrical signals at specific points on your hands and feet to assess energy flow (“Qi”) throughout your body. We use these results to pinpoint imbalances, track your progress over time, and tailor your acupuncture plan for the best results.

  • Most patients feel little to no pain. The needles are ultra-thin—about the width of a human hair. You may notice a mild tingling, heaviness, or warmth at the point, which simply indicates that your body is responding and beginning to rebalance.

  • That depends on your condition and goals. Many patients start with weekly sessions for 4–6 weeks, then move to maintenance visits as symptoms improve. We’ll review your personalized plan after your initial assessment.
